The Grammaropolis connector is a read-only service that lets an assistant such as ChatGPT or Claude look up grammar and writing lessons from the Grammaropolis curriculum. It's built to collect as little as possible: it has no accounts and stores no personal information of its own. This policy also covers the Grammaropolis for Teachers plugin, whose classroom tools run inside your own conversation and send nothing to us.

What we collect

The connector needs no sign-in or account, and it never asks for or receives names, email addresses, student records, or student work. Each request carries only a catalog lookup, such as a topic, a grade, or a standards code. The only personal data that reaches us is what every web request carries: the internet (IP) address it came from, the time, the page or tool requested, and the app or browser identifier (user agent). Our hosting provider records these in standard access logs. Alongside those logs, we keep a count of each lookup: the tool requested, which skill started, and the department, grade and standards framework asked for (never the words you typed).

What the connector does

Each request asks for public catalog information: a list of lessons, a single lesson, or the lessons that match a standard. The connector answers from a fixed catalog that ships with the service. It doesn't write anything, doesn't make decisions about people, and doesn't generate any text of its own.

How we use it

Access logs are used only to run the service, fix problems, protect it from abuse, and count, in aggregate, how often each app uses the connector, which skills run, and which grades and departments are asked for. They aren't used to build a profile of anyone, to track anyone across sites, or to target advertising, and they're never sold.

Who receives it

Vercel, the company that hosts the connector, processes each request and keeps the access logs on our behalf. The assistant you use (for example, OpenAI or Anthropic) sends each request for you, and its own privacy policy covers what it does with your conversation. We share this data with no one else.

How long we keep it

Access logs are deleted automatically within 30 days. The aggregate lookup counts carry no personal data and are kept for up to two years.

Your choices

Because there's no account, there's nothing to sign up for, change, or delete on our side. You can stop using the connector at any time by turning it off in your assistant. For any question or request about your data, including access or deletion, write to the address below.

Children

The connector is a tool for teachers and other adults. Beyond the access-log data above, it collects no information from anyone, including children, and it never receives student work or student data.

If this policy changes, the updated date above will change with it.
